Four cases of alleged enforced disappearance and one case of recovery have been reported from Balochistan and Karachi, according to families of the affected individuals.

In Mastung, two residents were reportedly detained and subsequently disappeared on 1 August 2026. The missing individuals have been identified as 24-year-old Rahmatullah, son of Sahib Khan, a labourer by profession, and 18-year-old Sultan, son of Siraj, a student.

According to family members, both men were taken into custody by personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) at around 5pm in the Piringabad area of Mastung. Relatives said no information has been provided regarding their whereabouts since their detention.

In a separate incident, 27-year-old Khalil Ahmed, son of Jan Mohammad, a resident of Gajjar in Mashkay, Awaran district, was reportedly detained on 4 August 2026 at around 6pm from the University of Karachi.

Family members stated that Khalil Ahmed, an MPhil student, was taken into custody by personnel of the Pakistan Rangers and Military Intelligence (MI) before allegedly being subjected to enforced disappearance.

Another case was reported from Hub, where 23-year-old Zubair Ahmed, son of Noor Ahmed, was allegedly forcibly disappeared on 30 July 2026.

Zubair Ahmed is originally from Gidar, Surab district, and was residing in the Balochabad area of Hub Chowki at the time of the incident. According to his family, he was detained from his residence at approximately 2:30pm by personnel allegedly associated with Military Intelligence. His relatives said he has remained missing since then.

Meanwhile, a previously reported missing person has returned home in Mastung.

Zahid Baloch, son of Haji Abdul Karim, a resident of Killi Karez Kamal in Mastung, was reportedly recovered on 31 July 2026. He had allegedly been subjected to enforced disappearance on 5 July 2026.

No official statements have been issued by the relevant authorities regarding the reported disappearances or the circumstances surrounding Zahid Baloch’s return. Family members of the missing individuals have appealed for information regarding their whereabouts and safe release.
