Pakistani forces carried out fresh operations involving reported quadcopter strikes, mortar fire and house-to-house searches in Balochistan’s Mastung, Surab and Kharan districts, in which a woman was seriously injured and two men were taken to undisclosed locations, local sources and families said.

A residential house in the Kambela area of Dasht, Mastung, was reportedly struck by a Pakistani military-operated quadcopter, seriously injuring a woman.

The latest incident comes amid continued military activity in the district following last week’s attack by the Baloch Liberation Army on a convoy carrying Pakistani military personnel, their security detail and reinforcements in the Khadkucha area.

The BLA claimed that more than 45 personnel were killed and dozens wounded in the attack.

Pakistani forces subsequently launched a military operation in the area, with local residents reporting civilian casualties and damage to homes, a mosque and a madrassa in Kund Umrani.

A shutter-down strike was observed in Mastung city on Monday against the reported casualties and damage to religious sites.

Meanwhile, Pakistani forces launched a large-scale search operation in the Naghar area of Surab, where local sources said personnel conducted house-to-house searches and tightened security at several entry and exit points.

Two men, including Khalil Ahmed, son of Noor Mohammad, were taken into custody during the operation and moved to undisclosed locations, the sources said.

Their families said no information about their fate or whereabouts had been provided since they were detained, describing the cases as enforced disappearances.

Separately, an operation was reported in Kharan’s Tazina area on Tuesday morning, where local sources said Pakistani forces used mortar rounds and quadcopter drones.

The sources said three goats were killed in a quadcopter strike, although no human casualties were reported. They added that armed men later shot down one of the drones.
