Pakistani forces were targeted in a series of attacks across Balochistan on Tuesday, while clashes were also reported during military operations in Mastung and Kech, local sources said.

The incidents were reported in Mastung, Noshki, Kech, Panjgur, Surab and Kharan, and included attacks on checkpoints, military convoys and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel, as well as temporary highway blockades by armed fighters.

Pakistani forces launched an operation in the Dasht Daghari area of Mastung district on Monday evening, with armoured vehicles and heavy deployments advancing into the area, local sources said.

Local sources said clashes between Pakistani forces and armed fighters were reported on Tuesday morning, adding that at least three Pakistani personnel were killed during the exchange of fire.

Pakistani authorities had not issued any statement regarding the operation, clashes or reported casualties at the time of publication.

A separate large-scale operation was reported in Kalatuk and adjoining areas of Kech district, where the situation has remained tense since Monday evening.

According to local sources, a large number of Pakistani forces were deployed across the area, while quadcopters continued to carry out surveillance and search operations were reported at several locations.

Armed fighters also blocked the main highway in Kalatuk, searched vehicles and reportedly attacked Pakistani forces.

Police sources said seven non-local men were taken away after armed fighters stopped their vehicle during the blockade in Kalatuk. The body of one of them was later recovered from the Sorag area with gunshot wounds.

Elsewhere, armed fighters attacked a checkpoint of Pakistani forces in the Ghareebabad area of Noshki, where intense gunfire and several explosions were heard.

Initial reports said three personnel were killed and two others injured in the attack. Authorities did not immediately confirm the casualty figures.

Sources said a military convoy sent to reinforce the checkpoint was also targeted following the initial assault. Pakistani forces subsequently closed Noshki Bazaar.

In Panjgur, an improvised explosive device struck a Pakistani military convoy on Airport Road as three vehicles were passing through the area.

Local sources said all three vehicles were hit by the explosion, while casualties were also reported among the personnel.

Pakistani forces later cordoned off Airport Road and Chitkan Bazaar, established blockades at entry and exit points and launched search operations.

Armed fighters also established blockades at Gidar Jori Cross and Tobo Cross in Surab district, where they conducted snap checks and searched vehicles for several hours.

Separately, fighters ambushed a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) convoy near Kharan city, using heavy automatic weapons.

Several CTD vehicles and personnel reportedly came under fire, with local sources reporting fatalities. The number of those killed or injured was not immediately known.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks.
