The body of a girl who had been reported missing three days earlier has been recovered from the Kech river area in Turbat, police said.
According to police sources, the deceased was identified as Sabira, daughter of Naguman and a resident of the Bahman area of Turbat.
Family members said Sabira had been experiencing mental health difficulties and left her home on 6 July. When she did not return, relatives began searching for her and later reported her missing.
Police said the body was found on 9 July near the Pathan Kahor area of Kech river. The body was taken into custody and transferred to hospital for medico-legal procedures.
Authorities said an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. Police added that further details are expected to emerge following a post-mortem examination and the review of other evidence.
No official cause of death had been announced at the time of reporting.
