The Government of Balochistan has decided to close all public and private educational institutions from 10 March to 23 March, citing the tense situation and the petroleum crisis.
A notification issued by the Balochistan Education Department on Monday said the decision was taken “in light of the ongoing war in the Middle East and the subsequent shortage of fuel supply”.
It said all government intermediate, degree and technical colleges, as well as public-sector universities, would remain closed during the period.
“Consequently, all teaching, academic and administrative activities in the aforementioned educational institutions shall remain suspended during the said period.”
However, the department added that examinations already scheduled during the closure period would be held according to their existing timetable.
