The media wing of the Baloch “pro-independence” group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), known as Hakkal, has released photographs and biographical details of five additional members it says were killed during the second phase of “Operation Herof.”
In a statement, the organization presented the individuals as members of its Majeed Brigade unit, describing their backgrounds, roles within the group, and participation in recent operations across multiple areas, including Dalbandin, Gwadar, Bolan, and Noshki.
According to the statement, one of the fighters identified was Abubakar Baloch alias Dura, son of Ismail Baloch and a resident of Sand-e-Sar in the Isai area of Panjgur. The group said he had been studying software engineering and joined the organization in March 2022.
The media wing claimed that he contributed not only to armed training but also to media work, including writing, communications, and narrative development within the organization. After moving to mountain positions in November 2023, he reportedly participated in battles in the Bolan region, including the first phases of “Operation Dara-e-Bolan” and “Operation Herof.”
The statement further said he later joined the group’s Majeed Brigade and was present on the front line during the Jaffar Express hijacking. He was killed, according to the group, during clashes at the Dalbandin camp in second phase of “Operation Herof.”
Another individual named was Sarawan Raisani alias Sarag, son of Abdul Nabi and a resident of Hudda, Quetta. The group said he joined the organization in August 2025 and quickly became part of the Majeed Brigade.
The statement described him as taking part in frontline fighting at the Nagaho front and later during clashes at Dalbandin camp, where he was killed while advancing during what the group characterized as intense combat.
The organization also identified Faizan Shahwani alias Rehan, son of Ataullah Shahwani from Killi Ghulam Khan in Quetta’s Sariab area. According to the statement, he joined the group in 2024 and soon entered the Majeed Brigade.
The media wing claimed he carried out a vehicle-borne explosive attack targeting what it described as an enemy installation in Noshki, causing significant damage. The statement added that he was related to a previously killed member identified as Hiras Badini alias Nodan.
The statement identified another fighter as Adnan Arman alias Changez, son of Abdul Ghafoor, a 31-year-old resident of Shambay Ismail Ward in Gwadar.
According to the statement, Adnan Arman had been involved in armed activities for more than a decade, beginning in 2013. The group claimed he formally joined the BLA in 2024 and later volunteered for the Majeed Brigade.
The media wing said he participated in prolonged fighting on the Gwadar front during the second phase of “Operation Herof” and was killed during what it described as extended clashes with Pakistani forces.
The fifth individual identified was Yahya Lal alias Lashari, son of Lal Bakhsh and a resident of Parom Kalleri in Panjgur. The statement said the 23-year-old joined the organization in March 2023 before becoming part of the Majeed Brigade.
According to the group, Yahya Lal was involved in frontline combat during “Operation Herof” and took part in fighting on the Gwadar front, where he was killed during the latest phase of operations. The statement portrayed him as a member engaged in both ideological and operational roles.
The release of the five profiles follows earlier statements by the BLA claiming responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks under the banner of “Operation Herof,” which the group says targeted security installations and infrastructure across several areas.
