Cold and dry weather conditions continued across Balochistan on Saturday, with temperatures in several districts dropping below the freezing point, according to the Meteorological Department.
The department said Quetta recorded a minimum temperature of 0°C, while Kalat dropped to –1°C. In the upper regions of Quetta and in Ziarat, temperatures fell as low as –5°C. Zhob recorded a minimum of 5°C.
Cold conditions were also reported in other areas. The minimum temperature in Sibi was 13°C, while Turbat recorded 15°C. In Nokkundi the temperature dropped to 8°C, and Chaman registered 4°C.
Coastal areas also remained cold and dry. The minimum temperature in Gwadar stood at 14°C, while Jiwani recorded 17°C.
Meteorologists said dry weather is expected to continue across most districts over the next 24 hours, with severe cold likely to persist in northern Balochistan.
