The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Monday its fighters carried out two separate attacks targeting Pakistani armed forces in Panjgur and Jaffarabad districts of Balochistan.
Jeeyand Baloch, the group’s spokesperson, said in a statement that BLA fighters targeted a Pakistani army vehicle on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor route in the Rahi Nagoor area of Panjgur earlier in the day. He said the attack was carried out with a remote controlled improvised explosive device and caused losses to army personnel.
He said BLA fighters also targeted a police post at Shahi Chowk in Jaffarabad on Sunday night using a hand grenade, seriously injuring one police officer.
Pakistani authorities had not issued a statement responding to the claims at the time of publication.
