A vibrant literary and cultural program was held on Saturday, in Balicha, Tump to pay tribute to the intellectual and creative contributions of renowned Balochi poets and writers Master Isa Insan, Abdul Latif Adil, Dost Mohammad Taufiq, and Abdul Wahid Shohaz.

The day-long program featured a rich variety of sessions, including speeches, poetry recitations, a book launch, and musical performances, creating a multi-dimensional cultural atmosphere.

In the opening session, speakers Khalil Tigrani, Bijjar Baloch, Ali Gohar, Nazir Shay Murad, and Nabeel Deen highlighted the scholarly and literary legacies of the honored poets. They emphasized that the role of these figures in promoting the Balochi language and culture would always be remembered.

The second part of the program was marked by the launch of poet Shabir Noor’s latest collection of poetry, Honak. Attendees praised the book’s style, title, and creative expression, noting it as a valuable addition to contemporary Balochi literature.

The third session featured a grand poetry recital, presided over by chief guest Mir Umar Mir, with prominent poets including Irshad Parwaz, Ali Gohar, Arif Aziz, Khalil Tigrani, Ameen Aqil, Zaheer Ashraf, Rustam Noud, Qadir Wafa, Baqi Shakir, Abdoost Raheem, Asif Akhtar, Mehraj Mehr, Marwan Mehr, Mumtaz Ashraf, Najeeb Habib, Shehzad Fida, Taj Tahir, Nusratullah Meral, Bahad Tigrani, Qambar Shad, Ismail Sagar, Khamees Tigrani, and Nauman Mujeeb. Their recitations received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The program concluded with soulful musical performances by noted artists Wahab Baloch and Saleem Baloch, whose songs and melodies captivated the gathering.

Alongside the sessions, literary stalls were set up, displaying rare and important works of Balochi poetry, literature, and research.

Writers, students, and literature enthusiasts from Balicha and surrounding areas attended in large numbers, making the event a success. Participants remarked that such gatherings not only honor past poets but also inspire younger generations to cherish their language and culture.
