The cycle of enforced disappearances in Balochistan continues, with three men reported missing after being detained by Pakistani forces while three others have been released, according to local sources and families.
In the Dasht Konchati area of Kech district, sources said Pakistani forces conducted a late-night raid on 27 September, detaining two men identified as Altaf, son of Habtain, and Gulab, son of Ayub Baloch. Both remain missing.
Two days earlier, on 25 September, forces detained Saud, son of Haji Rahim, from his home in the Hairabad area of Kech. His whereabouts also remain unknown.
Meanwhile, local sources said three men who had previously been forcibly disappeared were released and returned home. Sheeraz, son of Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Barkhan, was detained on 20 September and released a week later. Siraj, son of Sanjar, from Balgatar, who was detained in Turbat on 26 September, was released the next day. Another man, Asghar Karmdani, returned home after three months in custody.
Operations in Kech and Panjgur
Separately, Pakistani forces carried out an operation in the Buleda area of Kech district on Saturday. Local residents said troops raided homes in the Gardank area and opened fire in residential neighbourhoods, though no casualties were reported.
In Balochistan’s Panjgur district, forces conducted another operation in Haji Isa Bazaar, Haji Hakeem Bazaar and Kadaan. Local sources said houses were searched and the areas were documented with photographs and video, but no arrests or injuries were reported.
