A series of incidents across Balochistan have resulted in the deaths of six individuals, including two children, and injuries to two others.
In the first incident, a man was killed in the Ghousabad area on the outskirts of Kalat when unknown assailants opened fire. The victim, identified as Salman Ahmed s/o Abdul Quddus Zehri, was fatally shot. The local police arrived at the scene and transferred the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for legal formalities. As of now, the motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the authorities have launched an investigation.
In another incident on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway near the Bencha area of Kalat, a head-on collision occurred between a Toyota 2D and an a Corrolla Indus car. The crash resulted in the deaths of two individuals at the scene, while two others sustained injuries. The injured were immediately rushed to the DHQ Hospital in Kalat for medical treatment.
In Dera Allah Yar, the central city of Jaffarabad, two separate electrocution incidents claimed the lives of a 22-year-old man and a 4-year-old child. The first incident occurred in Bhatti Mohalla, where 22-year-old Amjad Pathan was electrocuted while attempting to fix an electric wire on the roof of his house. He was struck by a severe electric shock and died instantly.
The second incident took place in Jatoi Colony, where a 4-year-old child, Began Jatoi, was playing at home when he touched an exposed electric wire. The child suffered fatal burns and passed away at the scene.
Meanwhile, a 3-day-old case was reported in the Chaki Shahwani area of Sariab Road, where a young girl, Bibi Momina, was severely injured by a stray bullet while playing in her house’s courtyard. She succumbed to her injuries the following day at the Trauma Center.
