The mother of Dost Muhammad, a man who has been missing for over thirteen years, passed away recently, waiting for the safe return of her son as she drew the last breath.

Dost Muhammads s/o Atta Muhammad was from the Parom area of Panjgur and was serving in the Oman Army. While on leave, he was abducted by unidentified individuals from Karachi International Airport in 2012. Since that day, his whereabouts remain unknown.

After her son’s disappearance, Dost Muhammad’s mother sought justice through various means. She approached courts, participated in protest camps, and was often seen carrying her son’s photograph in public. Despite her efforts, no information about Dost Muhammad has surfaced.

This case is one among many in the region where families have endured the pain of enforced disappearances. Many mothers have spent their lives holding onto hope, only to pass away without answers about their missing loved ones.

Dost Muhammad’s father, Atta Muhammad, also passed away while awaiting news of his son. Now, after years of waiting and heartbreak, his mother has also died, leaving the family without closure.
