Two policemen were killed and at least two others wounded when armed fighters launched a rocket and gun attack on the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) office in Tota Colony, Sui tehsil of Dera Bugti district late Saturday night.

According to local sources, intense explosions and sustained gunfire were heard across the area during the assault.

The Balcoh “pro-independence” armed group Baloch Republican Army (BRA) claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement shared with the media, BRA spokesperson Sarbaz Baloch said that its fighters targeted the CTD office using rockets, grenades, and automatic weapons.

He further claimed that when additional personnel arrived as reinforcements, BRA fighters ambushed them as well, leaving three more officers injured.

District administration officials confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Head Constable Reham Ali Bugti and Constable Nasruddin Bugti. Police sources said the attackers opened fire suddenly, killing the two officers on the spot and injuring two others, who were later shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
