Two major Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani intelligence personnel, state infrastructure, and security forces across multiple districts in Balochistan over the past two days.

In a statement issued Tuesday, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters “neutralized” Bilal Aarahi, described as an operative of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), in an armed attack near Wahdat Colony in Quetta.

According to the BLA, Aarahi, a resident of Lahore, was “working for the occupying Pakistani army under the guise of a medical supplier” and had allegedly been involved in recruiting agents and facilitating military operations.

In a separate attack in Kharan’s Sarwan area, the BLA said it destroyed machinery belonging to a road construction company, which it described as “exploitative.” The statement claimed that two tractors, three other pieces of heavy machinery, and additional equipment were set ablaze.

“We make it clear to local contractors that they should refrain from being part of these exploitative projects; otherwise, they will be responsible for any loss of life and property,” the group warned.

Meanwhile, the BLF claimed responsibility for taking control of the Spezend Levies Station in Dasht on Sunday evening. In a statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters detained all Levies personnel present at the post, seized their weapons, and temporarily established checkpoints along the Quetta–Sibi highway and nearby roads.

“Setting up checkpoints on strategically significant and sensitive highways such as Quetta, Mastung, and Noshki… reflects the BLF Sarmachars’ successful operational strategy and strength,” the statement read.

The BLF also said its fighters carried out five attacks between Saturday and Monday. These included assaults on military checkpoints in Mashkay’s Ogwar and Tank areas, a sniper attack that reportedly killed a soldier, and the destruction of equipment at a Ufone mobile tower.

On Monday, the BLF said it targeted a vehicle transporting “valuable mineral stones under state protection” in Wadh’s Kaka Heer area. The vehicle was reportedly damaged, though no casualties were mentioned.

Both groups reaffirmed their commitment to continued armed resistance, framing their actions as part of a broader struggle for the “liberation of occupied Balochistan.”

Pakistani authorities have not yet issued an official statement in response to the claims.
