Armed Baloch nationalist groups on Friday claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani military camps and vehicles transporting minerals in Kalat, Mastung, and Chaghi districts of Balochistan, resulting in casualties and damage.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said it carried out two separate operations in Kalat and Mastung on 26 June. In Kalat, BLA fighters reportedly targeted a central Pakistani military camp with grenade launchers as a convoy of forces arrived. The group said the attack caused “casualties and damage.”

In a separate operation the same day, BLA fighters targeted nine vehicles involved in what the group described as the “looting of Baloch national resources” in Mastung district.

According to the BLA, one vehicle was struck in the Yali area, two near the Kohinoor Hotel, and six near the Nawab Hotel. The drivers were reportedly released after receiving warnings.

“Drivers and owners involved in the transportation of Baloch national resources are urged to desist from this practice; otherwise, they will be held responsible for any loss of life or property,” the BLA statement read.

In a related development, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for attacking a vehicle carrying valuable stones in Chaghi district.

BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said in a statement that fighters opened fire on the vehicle in the Logh-of-Karo Dok area on Thursday night. The vehicle was reportedly set on fire, while the driver was released after being warned.

“Our organization claims responsibility for this attack. Such operations will continue until the liberation of Balochistan,” the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) paid tribute to three fighters killed in an armed clash in the Gresha region of Khuzdar district on 22 June.

According to BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, fighters on an organizational patrol encountered members of a “state-sponsored death squad” in the Badrang area. A clash followed in which three BLF fighters were killed. The group claimed that one “enemy operative” was killed and several others wounded.

The “martyrs” were identified as Second Lieutenant Maqbool Baloch, Siraj Baloch, and Khalid Baloch. The BLF said all three had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces and later joined the group to fight for Balochistan’s independence.

Maqbool Baloch, described as a “front-line guerrilla,” had studied at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad. He was reportedly detained and tortured before joining the BLF’s “elite Qurban Unit.”

The BLF said it honours the sacrifices of its fallen fighters. “Their sacrifices are guiding lights on our national path,” the statement read.

All three groups reiterated their ideological commitment to ending what they described as the “occupation and exploitation of Balochistan by the Pakistani state.”
