Three Baloch “pro-independence” organizations—Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF)—have claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani security forces, intelligence agencies, gas infrastructure, and communication systems across multiple districts of Balochistan.
BLA Launches Multiple Attacks in Mastung and Quetta
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), through its spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, stated that its fighters launched coordinated attacks in Mastung and Quetta. On the evening of May 31, BLA fighters reportedly took control of the Wali Khan Police Station in Mastung and a Levies checkpoint located along the Quetta-Karachi highway, establishing a blockade for over an hour. During the operation, the fighters set ablaze vehicles and confiscated six weapons from the security forces. Six Levies personnel were detained and later released based on their Baloch identity, according to the group.
Additionally, BLA fighters targeted a Pakistani military post in the Khadkocha area of Mastung in an attack that lasted over 20 minutes. The group claimed two soldiers were killed and several others sustained casualties and material losses.
BLA also claimed responsibility for a targeted armed attack on May 27 in Quetta’s GDA Ground area, injuring Muhammad Nabi Khilji, president of the so-called Markhor Wing of Tehreek-e-Jawanan-e-Pakistan. The BLA accused Khilji of collaborating with the military to organize pro-state rallies and recruit for the armed forces using threats and incentives.
The BLA warned that all local collaborators of the Pakistani military, especially those organizing celebrations and public events on their behalf, would be considered direct targets. Civilians were urged to maintain a safe distance from such individuals to avoid harm.
BRG Targets Key Gas Pipelines in Dera Murad Jamali and Sui
In a separate statement, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for sabotaging two major gas pipelines. According to BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch, the group’s fighters blew up an 18-inch gas pipeline in the Naseerabad area of Dera Murad Jamali using explosive devices. Another 36-inch pipeline running from Sui to Karachi was also destroyed near the Mazari Kot area on the Kashmore Road.
The BRG vowed to continue its operations until the goal of an independent Balochistan is achieved.
BLF Strikes Military Intelligence and Communication Infrastructure
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), via spokesperson Major Gohram Baloch, announced that its fighters attacked Military Intelligence personnel stationed outside their office in the high-security Red Zone of Kharaan on the night of May 31. Two personnel were reportedly seriously injured during the attack.
In a separate operation on May 29, BLF fighters targeted a key communication installation in Shahobatil, a region in Kolwah. The group claimed to have destroyed a communications tower, associated technical equipment, and surveillance cameras, rendering the installation non-functional.
The BLF stated that its fighters successfully retreated to secure locations after completing both missions. The group reaffirmed its commitment to continuing armed resistance against what it terms the “occupying enemy” until the realization of an independent Balochistan.
