Pakistani security forces have allegedly taken two individuals into custody in the Pasni tehsil of Gwadar, Balochistan, and their whereabouts remain unknown. Among them is Levies officer Qais Nisar, who was reportedly taken from his home by plainclothes personnel after being subjected to physical assault.

Qais Nisar’s mother has appealed for his release, asserting that her son, a government employee, has no involvement in any illegal activities. Another individual, Karim Bakhsh, was also allegedly abducted from his home the same night under similar circumstances.

These disappearances add to the growing number of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, with reports indicating that nearly 58 cases have been documented this month alone.

In a separate incident in Panjgur, Pakistani forces reportedly detained a man named Dawood s/o Abdul Qadir, while he was performing Isha prayers at a mosque in the Sari Koran area on March 6. This incident has further intensified protests against enforced disappearances in the region.

For the past three days, locals have been staging a sit-in on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway in Panjgur to demand the release of missing persons. However, new cases of enforced disappearances continue to emerge, deepening concerns over human rights violations in Balochistan.
