The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for the armed assault in Ornach, Khuzdar, where its fighters allegedly besieged the town for several hours, targeting police and Levies forces.

In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch stated that on March 8, 2025, BLF fighters took control of police and Levies stations in Ornach, seizing weapons and subsequently setting the buildings on fire. The group also destroyed three security vehicles. According to the spokesperson, the attack was carried out with precision, leaving security personnel no chance to respond or resist.

He asserted that the operation demonstrated the deep-rooted public support for the Baloch independence movement, adding that the people of Balochistan stand firmly with the BLF in its struggle for an independent Balochistan.

The BLF urged civilians to cooperate with its fighters during such operations for their own safety, as well as to support the movement against what it described as the “occupation” of Balochistan. The spokesperson further stated that attacks against Pakistani security forces and economic projects in the region would continue until Balochistan’s independence was achieved.

There has been no immediate response from Pakistani authorities regarding the incident. However, previous attacks by Baloch armed groups have drawn strong military responses, with authorities often attributing such incidents to insurgents backed by foreign elements.
