The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of operations in recent days, including an armed blockade on the Coastal Highway and multiple attacks targeting Pakistani forces and construction machinery across Balochistan.
In a media statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that on the night of March 3–4, BLF fighters blocked the Coastal Highway between Pasni and Ormara at Buzi, halting traffic for approximately three hours. During the blockade, BLF fighters reportedly searched dozens of vehicles and set a police checkpoint on fire.
According to the BLF, passengers from Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had their identity cards checked. As no links to military or intelligence agencies were found, they were allowed to continue their journey unharmed.
The group also claimed to have stopped a Coastal Highway Police vehicle during the blockade, confiscating weapons from police personnel before setting the vehicle ablaze. The spokesperson said that the officers were released “out of humanity and respect for their Baloch identity.” Additionally, several LPG transport vehicles en route to Punjab and other areas were reportedly torched.
In a separate statement, the BLF claimed responsibility for two additional attacks on March 5 in Kolwah and Buleda. According to the group, its fighters launched a two-pronged assault on a Pakistani military camp in the Madag Kalat area of Kolwah, using heavy weaponry. The attack reportedly caused “significant casualties and material losses” among security forces.
Later the same day, BLF fighters allegedly targeted construction machinery in Buleda Gali, Kech, destroying a bulldozer and a boring machine.
The BLF said that these operations are part of its ongoing armed resistance, urging Baloch youth to “unite against enemy forces” and actively participate in what it referred to as the “Baloch freedom movement.”
