A sit-in protest continues for the second day at Shaheed Fida Chowk in Turbat, where the body of teenage Karim Bakhsh s/o Manzoor remains unburied. The demonstration includes women, children, and men, with participation from the Baloch Yakjehti Committee and other political and social activists.
Karim Bakhsh was shot dead on Thursday evening in Tump, Kohad, by unidentified gunmen. In response, his family refused to bury him and initially staged a protest at Jadgal Dann (D Baloch Point), blocking the M8 highway. Later, around 3 AM, they moved the demonstration to Shaheed Fida Chowk, where they continue their protest.
Local voices allege that Karim Bakhsh was killed by members of a state-backed armed group, commonly referred to as the “death squad.” The protesters demand justice, holding authorities responsible for the incident.
