The commander-in-chief of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), in an audio message on Sunday, called on the Baloch people to wage a “severe and extremely merciless war” against the Pakistani state and those he described as “collaborators” within Baloch society.

In the message, released by the BLA’s media channel, HAKKAL, the BLA chief said that the Baloch people have “no other path left except war.” He urged armed resistance against Pakistani army and intelligence agencies, and called on those who cannot take up arms to voice their opposition on the streets.

“Begin a severe and intense, extremely merciless war,” Bashir Zeb Baloch said, adding,
“If you cannot take up arms, then raise your voice—come out onto the streets and into the fields, and, without any fear, look the enemy in the eye.”

Mr. Baloch accused the “Punjabi army”—a term used by Baloch leaders to refer to the Pakistan Army—along with the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI), of committing systematic violence against Baloch men, women, and children.

He urged people not to wait until “the enemy victimizes someone’s child, sister, or daughter,” insisting the time for silence had passed. “We must not shed tears; instead, we must make the enemy and its agents weep, and make the families and generations of these agents weep—those who are involved in the enemy’s actions.”

The BLA chief also used strong language to criticize local chieftains and sardars, whom he accused of being “brokers and agents” serving Pakistani interests. He alleged that these figures benefit from “Punjabi scraps” while betraying the long-term interests of the Baloch nation.

“They are the faithless, conscienceless, ignorant flatterers who carry the Pakistani army’s boots in their mouths,”
he said, describing them as Baloch “in name only.”

Mr. Baloch claimed that such individuals are “not true tribal leaders” and warned they would become “historical cautionary tales” once Pakistan “falls,” even suggesting future generations would exhume their remains from Baloch soil.

Throughout the video, Mr Baloch repeatedly referred to Pakistan as a “baseless, fatherless, false” entity, which he accused of “looting” the resources of Balochistan. He argued that anyone identifying as Pakistani is automatically complicit in the state’s alleged crimes.

“We must bring intensity and mercilessness into this war and make it the final war,” he said, framing the conflict as one between an “oppressor” (Pakistan) and the “oppressed” (the Baloch).

He warned that “thousands” of lives might not be enough and that “hundreds of thousands” may have to be sacrificed to achieve what he called “Baloch liberation.”

The BLA leader concluded his statement by calling on the Baloch people to “tighten this land for the enemy and its agents,” vowing that the movement would not rest until it had accounted for “every pain, every oppression, every torment.”
