On the 12th anniversary of the enforced disappearance of Dostain Baloch, also known as Bolan Kareem, families and residents of Pasni held a protest rally. The rally started from Pasni Press Club and ended at JS Bank, with a significant number of participants, including women and children.
Protesters carried placards and banners demanding the recovery of Bolan Kareem and other missing persons. During the rally, speakers highlighted that 12 years had passed since Bolan Kareem’s disappearance. They noted that children who were young at the time are now grown, yet Bolan Kareem remains missing.
Speakers shared the anguish of Bolan Kareem’s family, particularly his mother, who has spent 12 years waiting for her son to return home. They described the years as an unbearable ordeal for his mother and sisters.
The protesters urged the state to release all missing persons, stating that if individuals are accused of crimes, they should be presented in courts rather than being held without trial for years. They called the practice of depriving individuals and their families of their lives and happiness for over a decade an act of injustice.
Meanwhile, in Gwadar, the brother of missing Nauman Ishaq issued a statement regarding his enforced disappearance. He reported that Nauman was taken on the evening of November 7, 2024, from Dhoriya Tyab Dip, Gwadar, and remains missing.
He stated that the family has repeatedly sought answers from state institutions, questioning what crime Nauman committed. He urged authorities to present Nauman in court if he is accused of wrongdoing, rather than keeping him in indefinite detention.
Issuing an ultimatum, he warned that if Nauman is not released by tomorrow, the family will take to the streets in protest. He also appealed to the people of Gwadar to join a rally from Mulla Moosa Intersection to the CPEC road to raise their voices against enforced disappearances.
