The family of Fida Wali Dad, a laborer from the Aapsar area of Turbat, held a press conference at the Turbat Press Club, accusing Pakistani forces of detaining him during a late-night raid on January 9 and subsequently disappearing him without providing any explanation for his arrest or whereabouts.
The family described Fida as a hardworking individual who recently returned home after years of laboring in Dubai. He had been on leave for three months and was not involved in any political or unlawful activities that would merit is abduction at the hands of security forces.
“If Fida Wali Dad is guilty of a crime, we demand that he be brought before a court of law and charged formally, rather than subjected to illegal detention,” the family stated, urging authorities to follow constitutional procedures.
Later, a large number of women gathered at Shaheed Fida Chowk, chanting slogans and demanding his immediate release. The protesters vowed to continue peaceful demonstrations until justice is served.
