Cases of forced disappearances have emerged in Balochistan, with eight individuals reported missing from various districts.

According to reports, two brothers, Musafir Pasran and Ilahi Bakhsh, both shepherds from the village of Tank Harkshan in the Mashkay Tehsil of Awaran district, were taken into custody by Pakistani forces and forcibly disappeared. It is also reported that their brother, Garebo, was taken into custody a week earlier by the forces and remains missing.

Additionally, in the Mashkay Tehsil, one more individual, Akhtar Mohammad from Zahidabad, was also taken into custody and forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces. He was reportedly detained about a week ago along with Garebo and has not been seen since.

In Panjgur district, reports have surfaced that Pakistani intelligence agencies and security forces detained Yasir, son of Yaseen, Hayat, son of Wali Mohammad, residents of Majboorabad Bostan, and Jaleel, son of Abdul Khaliq, from Isai, during a raid. They were taken into custody on January 19, 2025, at 5 AM, and have since been forcibly disappeared. Their families have not been informed of the reasons for their detention or their current whereabouts.

Meanwhile, in the Kech district, a new case of forced disappearance has been reported from the village of Minaaz in the Buleda Tehsil. According to the family, Siraj Baloch, son of Nasrullah, was abducted by Pakistani forces on January 11, 2025, and has since been missing.

In a separate incident, a previously disappeared young man, Israr, son of Ataullah, has been released. He was taken into custody reportedly by the Pakistani forces from the Tump-Konshkalat area of Kech on March 12, 2023. In a similar development, Mohammad Atif, who had been reported missing from Nokshki, has been found and returned home, and his family confirmed his recovery.
