On Wednesday night, the home of renowned Balochi singer Ustad Minhaj Mukhtar was attacked in the Tump tehsil of Kech district.
According to local sources, at around 1 AM, Pakistani forces, accompanied by a state-backed militia, arrived in four to five vehicles and several motorcycles before storming the house.
Gunfire damaged the doors and windows, while a hand grenade was also thrown at the building. The occupants of the house were reportedly harassed and subjected to violence for two to three hours.
This is not the first time that Minhaj Mukhtar’s home has been attacked. Previous incidents have included multiple assaults, arson, and looting of valuable belongings.
