A series of incidents involving attacks on police, military forces, and infrastructure took place in several areas of Balochistan on Friday, resulting in multiple casualties and damages.

In Hub’s Sakran area, a police raid led to a deadly shootout, leaving SHO Muhammad Amin Sasoli injured and Head Constable Deen Muhammad Mengal fatally wounded. Local sources said the attacker may also have been injured, but this remains unconfirmed. Officials have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.

Separately, in Naseerabad, a roadside explosion near the Katohar Bridge targeted a passing car, injuring three individuals and causing major damage to the vehicle. The injured were taken to Teaching Hospital Dera Murad Jamali. Authorities have not determined what caused the blast.

Meanwhile, in Turbat, unidentified armed men attacked the Asghar Gate main camp of Pakistani forces in the Absar area. Witnesses reported gunfire and explosions during the assault, which reportedly caused losses to the forces. However, officials have yet to release details on the extent of the casualties or damage.

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for the Turbat attack. In a statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said their fighters attacked the “occupying Pakistani military headquarters (Asghar Gate)” with six A-1 rocket shells on Friday, resulting in both “human and material” losses.

He added that BLF fighters safely withdrew after the attack, while security forces allegedly responded by setting up roadblocks and harassing local civilians.

Separately, the BLF also claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on the SSP office in Khuzdar on January 22. According to Major Gwahram Baloch, the attack took place at approximately 9:30 PM and caused “significant human and material losses” while the SSP was reportedly present at the office.

The BLF spokesperson described these attacks as part of the BLF’s “ongoing struggle against occupying forces” and reiterated the group’s commitment to continue such attacks until Balochistan’s “independence” is achieved.
