Pakistani forces are reportedly conducting a military operation in the mountainous region of Siyahiji and surrounding areas in Kech district, Balochistan. The operation involves troop deployment via helicopters, with reports of increased military activity in the region.
Local sources have confirmed the continuous movement of troops and low-flying helicopter patrols across the area. Despite the intensified military presence, no arrests or casualties have been reported so far.
Military operations in Balochistan’s different areas have become more frequent and scaled. Baloch nationalist circles and human rights activists and groups argue that such large-scaled military operations mostly see dozens of enforced disappearances, incidents of violence, and thievery of cattle and belongings of the locals by the Pakistani forces.
