On Saturday, various incidents and accidents across Balochistan resulted in the loss of eight lives, while several others sustained injuries.
In Kech district’s Rodban area of Tump, locals discovered a body, which was taken to the Levies checkpoint in Kalatak. The Levies transferred the body to the Teaching Hospital in Turbat for identification and further legal procedures.
In another incident, unidentified gunmen shot and killed Gulbaz Habibani Bugti in Sui, Dera Bugti. The attackers fled the scene, and investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, a traffic accident in Kharan claimed the lives of four members of a family belonging to Ikram Raskohi. The deceased included his mother, brother, and two nephews.
In Wadh Bazaar, a pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a speeding car traveling from Quetta to Karachi. The driver and vehicle are now in police custody as an investigation begins.
Separately, a wedding party’s vehicle overturned in Nag Raghay, a sub-tehsil of Washuk. A child lost his life, and seven others, including women, were seriously injured. The victims were initially treated at the Rural Health Center (RHC) in Nag and later moved to Civil Hospital Basima. Four women and a man were subsequently transferred to Quetta for advanced medical care. Emergency responders from 1122 played a crucial role in the rescue operation.
