The Baloch National Movement (BNM) announced in its statement that during the fourth Central Committee meeting, Faheem Baloch was elected as the new Secretary of Foreign Affairs, following the resignation of the previous officeholder. Prior to this, Faheem Baloch served as the coordinator for the Department of Foreign Affairs and was a member of the Central Committee, BNM said.
According to the statement, Faheem Baloch began his political journey with the Baloch Students Organization (Azad), where he was elected as a member of its Central Committee. During his tenure, he played a key role in fostering unity among various factions of the BSO, the statement said.
The BNM detailed that after completing his educational activities, Faheem Baloch participated in joined the BNM in 2007. He was elected as a Central Councilor during the April 2022 session and successfully ran as a candidate for the Central Committee in the party elections. In August 2023, the BNM established its Department of Foreign Affairs, appointing Faheem Baloch as its first coordinator.
The statement noted that Faheem Baloch has represented the Baloch nation at platforms such as the United Nations and the British Parliament, actively promoting party diplomacy on the international stage.
Faheem Baloch holds a master’s degree in Gender Studies from the University of Portsmouth, with his academic research focusing on human trafficking, internally displaced persons in Balochistan, and women’s empowerment.
According to the BNM, members of the Central Committee expressed their confidence that Faheem Baloch, as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, would advance the diplomatic efforts of the Baloch movement.
The BNM said that the Central Committee meeting, chaired by Party Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch, continued for two consecutive days and included key decisions aimed at improving organizational performance. These decisions will be circulated to party chapters and members through a formal circular.
