The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a suicide attack targeting a Pakistani army unit at Quetta Railway Station on Saturday morning.
In a statement to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the attack was carried out by the group’s Majeed Brigade, a unit known for “fidayee” (suicide) operations.
The BLA said that the attack targeted army personnel returning via the Jaffer Express after completing a course at the Infantry School.
“This morning, a Fidayee attack was carried out on a Pakistani army unit at Quetta Railway Station as they were returning via Jaffer Express after completing a course at the Infantry School,” the spokesperson said, adding that further details would be provided soon.
