A military operation is ongoing for a second day in the Kech district of Balochistan, with reports of increased troop movement and aerial activity across the region.
The operation began on Friday in areas connected to Gwadar and Kech, including Dasht, Seyahji and Dhor Kundag. Security forces imposed a two-day travel ban, restricting vehicle movement and enforcing strict controls.
Local sources reported a significant military presence in Kech’s Dasht area on Friday, with at least 20 military trucks and vehicles moving through the district. Military helicopters were also seen flying over the Seyahji mountain range, raising concerns of large-scale operations.
Similar helicopter activity was observed near Noshki city, while earlier surveillance and military aircraft were active over the Mach area in Bolan. In recent weeks, regions across Balochistan — including Bolan, Kalat, Mastung, Mashkay, and Kech — have experienced increased military activity.
Pakistani authorities have not commented on the ongoing operation in Kech or the reasons for the heightened military presence. So far, there have been no reports of arrests or casualties.
