A body has been discovered in the Dalbandain area of Balochistan.
According to Levies officials, the body was found at the Mirpur location, bearing bullet wounds on the head and chest. The body has been moved to Prince Fahad Hospital in Dalbandain for identification.
It is worth mentioning that the discovery of bodies in Balochistan has become an alarming and tragic occurrence over the years. The province has been plagued by a history of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and human rights violations. Many of these incidents are linked to the ongoing insurgency and conflict between “pro-independence” groups and the Pakistani state.
Human rights organizations have frequently reported on the recovery of mutilated bodies in the region, often of activists, students, and local residents who were allegedly detained by security forces or abducted by unknown assailants. These bodies often bear signs of torture, and their discovery serves as a grim reminder of the pervasive violence and instability in Balochistan. The victims’ families are often left without answers, struggling for justice and the return of their loved ones.
The situation has drawn international attention, with calls for investigations and accountability for these ongoing abuses. However, the cycle of violence and the discovery of unrecognizable bodies continue to haunt Balochistan.
