Pakistani security forces have transferred 23 bodies to Quetta Civil Hospital, stating the individuals were killed in clashes. However, officials have not released any details about the circumstances or the specific locations of their deaths.

Several security sources suggested the bodies might belong to those killed during the recent operation in Bolan, but there has been no official confirmation so far.

Meanwhile, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) — a group campaigning against enforced disappearances in Balochistan — has confirmed the presence of the bodies at Quetta Civil Hospital. The organization expressed concerns that the dead could be victims of enforced disappearances.

“Pakistani forces brought 23 mutilated bodies to Quetta Civil Hospital yesterday,” VBMP said in a statement.
“They claimed these individuals were killed in clashes, but we fear they may actually be victims of enforced disappearances.”

VBMP representatives added that this is not the first time detainees have been killed in custody and later labeled as insurgents. They cited numerous similar incidents across Balochistan, in which victims were later identified as forcibly disappeared persons.

The VBMP issued an urgent appeal, urging families whose loved ones have been subjected to enforced disappearances to visit Quetta Civil Hospital to check if their missing relatives are among the deceased.
