At least four people, including a woman, were killed and 14 others injured in multiple incidents and accidents across different districts of Balochistan over the weekend.
In district Kech’s Turbat, unidentified armed men stormed a house and opened fire, killing 27-year-old Shoaib. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
In Zhob, two Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) personnel, Shafiq Mulazai and Amir Muhammad Mangalzai, succumbed to injuries sustained in an armed attack on Saturday night. Officials have confirmed that the death toll from the attack has now risen to three.
On the Makuran Coastal Highway, a Karachi-bound LPG tanker overturned at the Jaki incline due to high speed. The driver, Muhammad Ali Zehri, died at the scene, while the cleaner, Munir Ahmed, was injured. Both were taken to a nearby hospital.
In a separate incident, a vehicle traveling from Karachi to Quetta overturned near the Bencha area of Kalat. A woman was killed, and four others were injured. The injured, identified as Haji Ghulam Muhammad, Nasir Ahmed, driver Muhammad Essa, and Nisar Ahmed, all belonged to Quetta.
Meanwhile, on Quetta’s Western Bypass, a speeding vehicle struck a motorcyclist, killing the rider and injuring two others.
In another accident near Ayub Dhoro, Sakran, a police mobile from Hub City crashed, leaving four policemen injured. They were immediately transported to Civil Hospital Hub for treatment.
Additionally, a United Nations vehicle associated with the Health Department’s UN health project overturned on Degree College Road in Turbat, Kech. One person was injured when the vehicle collided with a streetlight pole.
