Several Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups have claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani military forces, mineral transport vehicles, and infrastructure across various districts of Balochistan.

In a statement to the media, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group carried out four separate attacks in Turbat, Nushki, Panjgur, and Barkhan. In Turbat, BLA fighters launched a grenade attack on a Pakistani army post, injuring three military personnel stationed at the 168 Wing of the army.

In a separate attack, the BLA claimed responsibility for targeting two vehicles transporting minerals in the Sarmaal area of Nushki on the night of September 3. According to Jeeyand Baloch, one vehicle was set on fire, while the other was disabled after its tires were shot.

Additionally, the BLA reported the execution of a man identified as Murad, alias Doli, in Panjgur. The group alleged that Murad had been working as an informant for the Pakistani military, providing support during military operations in Gachak, Gwargo, and Draski. According to the BLA, Murad admitted to aiding Pakistani forces and committing crimes, including setting fire to the homes of local Baloch civilians.

The BLA claimed that Murad admitted to being part of “death squads” led by Ghulam Sarwar Sajidi, a deputy of Sardar Ali Haider Muhammad Hassani, and that he had been involved in tracking the movements of Baloch fighters. The group also stated that Murad was directly involved in an August 2020 military operation in Panjgur, which resulted in the deaths of two BLA fighters, Asif alias Fida and Gulab alias Waheed.

“Murad alias Doli was sentenced to death by the Baloch National Court for national treason, and the sentence was carried out by BLA fighters the following day,” the statement added.

In Barkhan, the BLA claimed responsibility for destroying a Ufone mobile communication tower in the Chhodi area on September 4, disrupting communication services in the region.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for a sniper attack that killed a Frontier Constabulary (FC) soldier in Kalat district on September 4. The attack took place at a check post in the Shay Mardan area.

According to a statement from the BLF, fighters followed the sniper attack by launching rocket-propelled grenades at the post, causing further damage. The BLF said this attack was part of its ongoing campaign to expel Pakistani forces from Balochistan.

In another attack, the United Baloch Army (UBA) claimed responsibility for firing multiple rockets at a Pakistani military camp in the Narmak Takht area of Kalat. According to UBA spokesperson Mazaar Baloch, the rockets landed inside the camp, causing significant damage and casualties.

The UBA claimed that helicopters were dispatched from Quetta to evacuate dead and wounded soldiers from the camp following the attack. The group vowed to continue such operations until Balochistan achieved independence.
