At least three people were killed and thirteen others, including two policemen, were injured in an explosion in Pishin, a Pashtun-dominated district of Balochistan, on Saturday.
According to reports, two children and a woman were killed, and thirteen others, including two policemen, were injured in the explosion at the main market near Surkhab Chowk in the Pishin district.
Pishin Civil Hospital Medical Superintendent, Dr. Wakeel Sherani, confirmed the deaths of the two children and injuries to fourteen others, who were later shifted to Quetta Trauma Centre. The woman later succumbed to her injuries, bringing the death toll to three.
According to Pishin City Station House Officer (SHO) Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, the explosive material was planted on a motorcycle, and three vehicles were damaged in the explosion. He added that two of the injured, including the policemen, were in critical condition.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing as of the filing of this report.
