Multiple Pakistani security personnel have reportedly been killed during blockades and an attack on Bela Camp by Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters in Balochistan, as part of the group’s ongoing “Operation Herof.”

In a recent statement, Jeeyand Baloch, spokesperson for the BLA, claimed that the BLA’s elite unit, the Majeed Brigade, launched an attack on the Bela Camp in Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of over 24 military personnel and the successful capture of part of the camp.

According to the spokesperson, the “fidayeen” from the Majeed Brigade initiated the attack by ramming two explosives-laden vehicles into the camp’s entrance and nearby security checkpoints, causing extensive damage.

Following these Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) attacks, BLA fighters reportedly entered the camp, killing over 24 personnel and taking control of a large portion of the facility. The spokesperson indicated that the second phase of the operation will proceed from this position.

In addition to the attack on Bela Camp, BLA fighters have established blockades on major highways across Balochistan as part of “Operation Herof.”

In Kech district’s Hothabad, a convoy of five vehicles was ambushed, with several personnel reportedly killed. However, official confirmation from authorities or the BLA is still pending on this.

Similarly, reports from Koh-e-Sulaiman suggest that multiple Pakistani personnel were killed during another blockade by BLA fighters. Pakistani officials have yet to comment on this incident.

In Sibi district, a separate attack targeted a police checkpoint on Nishtar Road at Tareen Chowk. Unknown assailants on motorcycles reportedly threw a hand grenade at the officials, injuring several. Security forces have since cordoned off the area.

Further attacks were reported in Turbat city and Buleda, where multiple explosions and heavy gunfire were heard. In Turbat, unidentified attackers targeted several Pakistani forces’ camps with rockets.

In Gwadar, a grenade attack targeted the Pakistani Coast Guard in the Demi Zir area, reportedly resulting in casualties among personnel. A bomb blast in Khuzdar district has also been reported, though details of casualties remain unclear.

In Mastung, explosives were reportedly planted near the bypass, damaging railway tracks and disrupting routes to and from Quetta. Additionally, an attack on the Levies station at Khadd Kocha prompted a large deployment of police and Frontier Corps. Further information on this incident is awaited.

A hand grenade attack in Quetta was also reported, with the blast at the Kachibaik Police Station leaving several officials injured.

It should be noted that the Baloch Liberation Army announced in a media statement the launch of “Fidayeen Operation Herof.” According to the group, its elite unit, the Majeed Brigade has successfully infiltrated and attacked the central military camp in Bela, while other units have taken control of major highways, blocking them completely.

This is a developing story, and further confirmation of the ongoing attacks is awaited.
