The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” Baloch armed group, has claimed responsibility for several recent attacks on Pakistani military forces in Balochistan.

In a statement issued on Saturday, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters attacked the Parom Kaleri Army Camp in Panjgur on the night of August 13.

He claimed the attack, which took place at 11 PM, involved rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and machine guns, resulting in “significant human and material losses” for the Pakistani forces.

Mjr Baloch also stated that on the morning of August 16, BLF fighters attacked and brought down a PTCL communication tower used by the Pakistani army in Buleda Kurki, Kech. He claimed the tower, which facilitated military communications across Buleda, Zamuran, and Kech, was set on fire.

In a separate statement issued on Friday, Mjr Baloch claimed that BLF fighters targeted three posts at a Pakistani military camp on Barag Mountain in Shapok. He said the attack, which occurred at midnight between August 15 and 16, involved heavy weaponry and lasted 15 minutes. The spokesperson stated that the attack resulted in the deaths of two Pakistani soldiers and injuries to three others.

Major Gwahram Baloch added that the BLF would continue its attacks against Pakistani forces until Balochistan is “liberated,” emphasizing that the group draws its strength from the support of the Baloch people.
