In two separate incidents in Balochistan, one person was killed and four others were injured in a shooting in Turbat and an explosion in Quetta.
In the Apsar area of Turbat, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Friday night, killing one person and injuring another. The deceased was identified as Imtiaz s/o Iqbal, while the injured man was identified as Khalil s/o Abdul Majeed. Both were residents of Apsar. The body and the injured were taken to Teaching Hospital Turbat.
Meanwhile, in Quetta, a powerful explosion near Balochistan University on Sariab Road on Saturday injured three people. The injured, identified as Ehsanullah s/o Muhammad Ali; Abdullah s/o Abdul Rashid; and Rahimullah s/o Alam Gul, were taken to BMC Hospital for treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting aninvestigation.
