Pakistani forces have reportedly detained a man from Quetta, transferring him to an undisclosed location. The man, identified as Saddam Langove, was taken into custody on Monday from the Killi Ismail area of Quetta.
The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) reports that individuals participating in protests against Zaheer Baloch’s disappearance are now being targeted by security forces. Zaheer was picked up from Quetta on 27 June, allegedly at the hands of Pakistani security forces. His family members and Baloch activists have been campaigning for his safe release, but to no avail.
According to VBMP, Saddam Langove’s detention is part of a broader pattern. The organization also received reports of additional detentions last night, including individuals taken from the Sariab Customs area, who were subsequently moved to unknown locations.
