Pakistani forces have detained two individuals, Khalid Bijjar and Aqil Bashir, who are now missing. Meanwhile, Sana Baloch, previously reported missing, has returned home.

Khalid Bijar was apprehended on Sunday night during a raid by Pakistani forces at his home in the Meri Baig area of Turbat. Aqil Bashir was detained in the Teertaj area of Awaran, and his whereabouts have been unknown since his detention.

In contrast, Sana Baloch, who had been missing from Noshki, has been found and has safely returned to his family.

The issue of missing persons in Balochistan has been a persistent human rights concern for the past two decades. Baloch nationalist groups and rights advocates accuse Pakistani security forces of enforced disappearances, a charge that security authorities and the government do not necessarily deny.

The pattern of enforced disappearances continues, with one individual returning home while another goes missing. Human rights organizations like the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) have campaigned for over a decade to end these disappearances and secure the safe release of missing individuals. According to VBMP, thousands are missing from Balochistan, and the numbers continue to rise.
