At least seven people, including a woman and children, have been killed and six others injured in a series of incidents and accidents across different districts of Balochistan.
In Bela, two people were killed and six others injured when a vehicle overturned due to a tire burst caused by high speed. The deceased have been identified as Musamma Malukan Abdul Kareem and Khadim Solangi.
In Uthal, the district headquarters of Lasbela, Zohaib, a young bakery worker, fainted due to a severe heatwave. Despite being rushed to Civil Hospital Uthal, he could not be saved. The police have completed the formalities and returned his body to his family.
In Khuzdar, Haji Muhammad Khadrani from the Pheshikapar area was killed in a road accident. In Saleem Colony, Usta Muhammad, a ten-year-old boy named Owais Raza Omar died instantly due to electrocution.
Additionally, a father and son from Karachi drowned while swimming in the Hub River. Rescue teams recovered the bodies of 55-year-old Abdul Qadir and 23-year-old Ghulam Hussain, both from the Korangi area of Karachi.
This incident brings the total number of drownings in the Hub River this month to more than six. Despite repeated public calls for a swimming ban, the district administration has yet to implement any restrictions.
