An orphan youth, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared twice by Pakistani intelligence agencies, has committed suicide in Turbat city of Balochistan on Thursday.
According to details, a young orphan named Akhlaq Ahmed, a resident of Mullai Bazar area of Turbat city, committed suicide in Turbat. Following the Police took the body and shifted it to Teaching Hospital Turbat. However, the Police didn’t reveal the motive behind the incident.
It’s pertains to mention that the aforementioned youth was reportedly forcibly disappeared twice allegedly by the Pakistani intelligence agencies and released with severe torture. Speaking to the TBP correspondent, his family sources said that his abductions had made him psychologically disturbed, due to which he took the tragical decision to end his life.
The issue of enforced disappearances is particularly concerning in Balochistan, with reports of security forces detaining and torturing individuals without due process. The psychological trauma and uncertainty faced by the families of those who have disappeared can have severe impacts on mental health, leading to cases of depression and suicide.
