At least two individuals were killed while 20 people were reportedly wounded in two landmine blasts in Dukki district of Balochistan on Thursday.
According to reports, at least two people, including a office of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and twenty people were injured in two back-to-back explosions that took place near a coal mine site in Dukki district.
The first explosion took place when a coal truck collided with a pre-laid mine in the Thaiakidar stream in the Dukki district of Balochistan. The other blast occurred when people gathered. Police officials told media that those injured in the explosion were transferred to the hospital and the investigation of the incident was started.
In a media statement, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a “pro-independence” Baloch armed group, took responsibility for twin bombing.
Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesman Jeeyand Baloch has claimed that their militants targeted a vehicle involved in looting national resources in the first blast and later targeted Counter-Terrorism department (CTD) personnel and the newly formed death squad operatives in the second bomb blast.
