The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a pro-independence group, has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in different regions of Balochistan. The group’s spokesperson, Jeeyand Baloch, confirmed the attacks and reiterated the group’s commitment to continue such attacks until Balochistan achieves complete liberation from the Pakistani state.
Jeeyand Baloch said that in the Tijaban area of district Kech, BLA fighters launched a coordinated attack on a security forces camp, employing heavy weaponry from multiple directions. During the intense 20-minute shelling, three security checkpoints were destroyed, resulting in the immediate deaths of two soldiers and injuries to five others. Additionally, two more soldiers fell victim to long-range weapons.
The BLA also carried out a separate attack in Kolwah, where security forces were congregated near a vehicle within their camp when they were attacked. Jeeyand Baloch said that utilizing grenade launchers and other weapons, the BLA fighters killed at least two soldiers and wounded two more. The attack also caused material damage to the forces.
In a separate incident in Sibbi, the BLA targeted a foot patrol of security forces, reportedly inflicting several casualties.
