The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a ‘pro-independence’ armed group, has claimed responsibility for an attack in Balochistan’s Duki that reportedly resulted in the deaths of three Pakistani soldiers and injuries to four others.
In a media statement, Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, stated that the attack occurred Monday night in the ZindaPir area when BLA fighters ambushed a convoy of two military vehicles.
According to Jeeyand Baloch, one vehicle managed to flee, while the other was successfully targeted by the BLA fighters. “The surrounded vehicle was extensively attacked with modern weapons and hand grenades, resulting in the death of three enemy personnel, including one identified as Bilal, and injuries to four, including Lance Naik Asmat, Lance Naik Malik Qayum, and Sepoy Shehzad,” said the BLA spokesperson.
Jeeyand Baloch also accused the Pakistani military of forming a local militia known as “Aman Lashkar,” which he described as a death squad consisting of local collaborators aimed at plundering Baloch resources and countering Baloch fighters.
He issued a stern warning against local collaborators: “The Baloch Liberation Army warns those aligned with the enemy that they will face the same fate as the Pakistani military if they act against Baloch fighters and national interests. Anyone found active in these government militias should prepare for severe consequences.”
