In Balochistan’s Kharan district, Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies have allegedly forcibly disappeared the gunman of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kharan, as per reports.
On Monday morning, levies official Aslam Shah, son of Syed Chirag Shah, was passing through the hospital road on a motorcycle when Frontier Crops (FC) and intelligence personnel stopped him on the way and severely tortured him and took him away. His whereabouts remain unknown since.
Aslam Shah belongs to Kabdani Mohalla, who was on duty as a gunman of DC Kharan. However, no stand has been taken by the DC so far.
It pertains to mention that enforced disappearances in Balochistan have become an alarming issue where almost everyday citizens fall victim to enforced disappearances. Baloch circles, political activists, and international human rights organizations have accused Pakistani forces and its secretive agencies of these serious human rights violations. However, the Pakistani authorities either don’t comment on these incidents or reject the allegations.
