Dr. Mahrang Baloch, a human rights advocate, has labeled the recent explosion in Khuzdar — which resulted in two fatalities and injured at least ten — part of the ongoing genocide against the Baloch people.
On the social media platform ‘X’, previously known as Twitter, Dr. Baloch condemned the Pakistani government for permitting lawlessness in Balochistan and allowing criminal groups and individuals to roam freely, leading to the victimization of innocents in violent attacks. She said that the Baloch people will continue to fight against these colonial tactics.
The incident took place at Umer Farooq Chowk, a bustling commercial area in Khuzdar, right after the evening Maghrib prayers on Sunday. The area was crowded with people making Eid preparations when the explosion happened, instantly killing two individuals and wounding at least ten others.
