An explosion in Quetta’s Kuchlak area on Monday resulted in one fatality and 12 critical injuries.
The SSP Operation Jawad Tariq reported that the blast took place in a mosque within the Killi Katir region during the evening. The bomb disposal unit was summoned and is currently assessing the site.
The attack claimed the life of an Eagle Squad police officer and injured several others, including six policemen. The deceased officer was identified as Muhammad Anwar Kakar from Kuchlak.
Separately, in Dera Bugti’s Sohbatpur, a mine detonated under a buffalo, causing one animal’s death and injuring another.
Authorities have secured the area and are investigating, though no suspects have been apprehended.
This incident, along with another recent explosion in Khuzdar which killed two and injured ten, marks the third such event in Balochistan within two days.
