In the Hub district of Balochistan, two individuals were killed during what was reported to be a clash and gunfire exchange between kidnappers and unidentified persons on Sassi Punnu Road.

According to reports, three armed kidnappers intercepted a vehicle laden with betel nuts, abducting the driver and his companion. The confrontation took place late Thursday or early Friday night in the Hassan Pir area, shortly after the vehicle passed the Sassi Punnu Abbasi Police Checkpost in Sakran, heading towards Karachi.

Following the incident, the vehicle and goods owners, along with their associates, initiated a search operation and imposed a blockade in the area. This action reportedly led to an encounter with the kidnappers, resulting in the death of two assailants in the crossfire. One kidnapper managed to escape. Although the hostages were safely recovered, the vehicle has not been found.

Edhi Rescue sources identified one of the deceased kidnappers as Muhammad Qasim, while the identity of the second remains undisclosed. Both individuals were said to be from Karachi.

The Hub and Sakran regions have been plagued by a spate of robberies, kidnappings, and murders in recent times. Despite the growing crime wave, there has been notable silence from the police concerning any preventative measures.
